ETF Tools

Direxion Shares provides advisors and investors with a suite of tools that can be very effective in helping them better understand these unique funds and implement active trading strategies. These tools allow investors to analyze trading and price activity, index tracking performance and other important information.

Daily/Cumulative Performance Illustrator >
Each Direxion Shares Daily 3x ETF seeks a daily leveraged investment result. The pursuit of daily leveraged investment goals means that the return of a Fund for a period longer than a full trading day will be the product of the series of daily leveraged returns for each trading day during the relevant period. As a consequence, especially in periods of market volatility, the path of the benchmark during the longer period may be at least as important to the Fund's return for the longer period as the cumulative return of the benchmark for the relevant longer period. The Daily/Cumulative Performance Illustrator helps investors analyze fund returns for particular holding periods.

Tracking Center >
The Tracking Center is a tool designed to help advisors and investors better understand how closely Direxion Shares track to their benchmark index. It provides a transparent look at Direxion ETFs allowing you to determine whether they are providing daily returns that are consistent with their expected daily returns.

Recent Volume Tool >
The Recent Volume Tool looks at daily trading activity for Direxion Shares and calculates an “implied holding period” for each fund. This information emphasizes the key point that these ETFs are being use as daily trading vehicles; not long term, buy and hold investments.

Volatility Tool >
The volatility tool was designed to illustrate to advisors the level of volatility associated with each Direxion Share. A strong understanding of the volatility levels of underlying investments should lead to better portfolio construction.

Premium/Discount Tool >
The Premium/Discount Tool illustrates the daily difference (premium or discount) between the market closing price and calculated net asset value per share of all Direxion Shares.

DirexionShares ETFs are bought and sold at market price (not NAV) and are not individually redeemed from the Fund. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns. Market Price returns are based upon the midpoint of the bid/ask spread at 4:00 PM Eastern time (when NAV is normally determined), and do not represent the returns you would receive if you traded shares at other times.

Beta is the measure of an asset's volatility relative to its benchmark. A beta above 1 is more volatile, while a beat below 1 is less volatile.

Investing in funds that invest in specific industries or geographic regions may be more volatile than investing in broadly diversified funds. The use of leverage by a fund means the Funds are riskier than alternative investments which do not use leverage.

The Leveraged ETFs are not suitable for all investors and should be utilized only by sophisticated investors who understand leverage risk, consequences of seeking daily leveraged investment results and intend to actively monitor and manage their investments. Leverage ETFs are not designed to track the underlying index over a longer period of time.
